Administration Tools Guide

All administration is now provided in a Control Panel. The services are accessed via a web-interface HTTP tranport on port 1060.

Please see the security guide for information on how to secure access to the admin interface.

New features include access to Hot and Cold Restart of the Kernel. A new module deployment wizard. Several new introspection tools for examining runtime state of the system.

JMX Deprecation

Previously NetKernel provided a JMX console for administration. This was inflexible and since JMX operates on multiple sockets could not be tunneled over SSH for access to a remote server. The JMX console will still work with the 2.1.0 Kernel and is available for download but is no longer supported.
